The Detailer's Booking Page Checklist
15 things a customer checks on your site before they book, in the order they check them. Open your site on your phone, start at the top and tick each box only if the test passes.
Top of the page
- Service and town in the headline. You've got it if a stranger can say what you do and where without scrolling.
- Your service area, by name. You've got it if someone in your farthest regular town can find that town on the page.
- One main way to book, plus Call and Text buttons that stay on screen. You've got it if you can tap Call or Text from anywhere on the page with your thumb.
- A real photo of your work up top. You've got it if the first photo is a car you worked on.
Prices and packages
- "From" prices by vehicle size. You've got it if a customer can find a starting number for their vehicle without contacting you.
- What's in each package, spelled out. You've got it if two people reading the same package would expect the same work.
- Add-ons with prices (pet hair, engine bay, headlights and so on). You've got it if every extra you regularly charge is listed.
- How long each job takes. You've got it if a customer can tell whether they'll need a ride.
Proof
- Before-and-after pairs by service. You've got it if each main service has at least one pair shot from the same angle.
- Real reviews with first names and dates. You've got it if they match your Google reviews word for word.
- How long you've been doing it, and who shows up. You've got it if a customer can tell who will work on their car.
Mobile only
- Water, power and room needed. You've got it if someone in an apartment can tell whether you can do their car.
- Your rain plan. You've got it if a customer knows what happens when the forecast changes, and whether there's a fee.
Booking
- A short booking form or your real booking tool on the page. You've got it if you can book yourself, one-handed, in under a minute.
- Deposit and cancellation policy in plain words. You've got it if it fits in two or three sentences a customer gets on the first read.
Boxes you couldn't tick are your to-do list, starting from the top of the page.
