What we collect, in plain English.
Short version: this site uses no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and has no third-party trackers. We count page views, link clicks and a few button taps ourselves, without storing anything that identifies you. If you send us a form, we use it to reply to you. That is it.
Who we are
GroundWork-Web, run by Cyrus Wilburn, Deer Park, Texas. We build websites for auto detailers. Questions about this policy: email us.
Site analytics (no cookies, no browser storage)
To understand which pages and buttons are useful, our own server records:
- The page you viewed (the path only, never the full address, so nothing typed into a form or link ends up in our logs)
- Links you click and the text of the link
- Whether you submitted the audit or start form, after it was sent (never what you typed)
- A short list of button taps, each counted at most once per visit: picking Host or Grow in the price picker, moving the before-and-after slider, picking a package or tapping Book in the sample booking screen, and scrolling the price section into view. These record the name of the action only. Nothing you choose or type is recorded.
- The site that sent you here, if any (domain name only)
- The campaign tag on the link you arrived from, if we sent it to you (for example, "email")
- Screen size class: phone, tablet or desktop
To count unique visitors, we combine your IP address and browser type with a secret that changes every day, and store only a short hash of the result. We never store your IP address or browser details, and the hash cannot be turned back into them. After 24 hours it is useless for recognizing anyone, which is the point.
We honor the Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals: if either is on, we record nothing. We do not set cookies, use localStorage or similar browser storage, use fingerprinting, or share this data with anyone. Analytics records are deleted after 13 months.
Forms you send us
If you request an audit or start a build, we collect what you enter, typically your shop name, city, name, email, phone, and notes, and use it to reply to you and deliver what you asked for. Your entries are not saved in your browser. The campaign tag from the link you arrived on (for example, "email") is sent with the form so we know which message worked.
We keep lead information for as long as we are talking or working together, and delete it on request.
Payments and scheduling
Checkout is handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number. When you choose to pick an audit time, we send you to Calendly in a new tab. Nothing from Calendly loads on our pages. Stripe and Calendly have their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them.
What we don't do
- No advertising or social-media pixels
- No selling, renting, or sharing of your information
- No cross-site tracking
- No cookies, and nothing saved in your browser
Your choices
- Turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser and we record nothing.
- Email us to see, correct, or delete anything you have sent us. We will respond within 30 days.
Email we send
If you receive a business email from us, it will say who we are, include a real mailing address, and let you opt out with one reply. Ask once and we stop.
Changes
If we change how this site handles data, for example by adding a third-party tool, we will update this page and the effective date above, and add a consent notice where one is required.
